UTM Campaign Setup

Instructions for setting up UTM parameters for better tracking.

Whello allows you to pass UTM campaign parameters in your generated links to identify which specific ad or campaign drove a WhatsApp conversation.
Currently, Whello reads the utm_campaign value only — simplifying how campaigns are grouped in reports.

Adding UTM Campaigns

You can set utm_campaign parameters for the following two link types from your Page Generator:

🔵 Blue URL — Redirect Page

Used for Click-to-WhatsApp (CTWA) ads in Meta or links shared via Linktree.
Example: https://linkto.chat/lp?utm_campaign=ramadan_sale

🟢 Green URL and Orange — Website Integration

For Green URLs (your website WhatsApp buttons), you don’t need to manually add UTMs.
When you’ve installed the Whello JavaScript snippet on your site, Whello automatically reads the campaign data from your landing page or tracking parameters — ensuring accurate attribution without extra setup.
